New Geographies 3 and 4 will be launched at Van Alen Books in New York on November 12, 2011.
New Geographies is a journal of Design, Agency, Territory, founded and produced by doctoral candidates at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Through critical essays and design projects, New Geographies positions design’s agency amidst concerns of scale, infrastructure, ecology, and globalization with the “geographic” condition, reflecting a desire for a synthetic scalar practice that links disciplines and attributes, and opens a range of technical, formal, and social repertoires for architecture and design.
