Chen Chen (MLA1 ’13) has been selected by the Rotterdam Architecture Biennial 2012 to exhibit her design project—Willets Point, Delta City—as part of the “Smart Cities” themed exhibition.
The project was developed within the Landscape Architecture Core 4 studios (studio instructor, David Mah; studio coordinator, Chris Reed). Delta City developed a new ecological and landscape framework for developing a new model for urban development within New York’s Willets Point, using hydrological and larger ecological processes as generators of a framework for organizing a new urban environment for the site.
