On December 1, 2011, President Obama announced his intent to appoint Philip G. Freelon (LF ’90) as Member of the Commission of Fine Arts. Freelon is the designer of Anacostia Library and on the team for the National Museum of African American Heritage and Culture in Washington, DC. He is Principal of The Freelon Group: Architects.
