Fondation Le Corbusiers new president: Antoine Picon

Antoine Picon
Earlier this month, Antoine Picon (professor of the history of architecture and technology) assumed the post of president of the Fondation Le Corbusier.
Le Corbusier conceived and detailed the foundation’s implementation in the last 15 years of his life in order to secure his archives and preserve his legacy.  The organization is dedicated to stewardship of the artist’s residences, conservation of his architectural work, support for exhibitions and research and other activities to insure the legacy of this towering 20th century figure.
Picon will have an essay in a publication due out this spring, Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes, which will accompany an ambitious exhibition at MOMA of Le Courbusier’s entire oeuvre.
