MLA students win Prize for Least Mapped Place in the World

Anya Domlesky (MLA ‘14) and Martin Pavlinic (MLA ‘14) have been awarded the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies Prize for Best GIS Project in Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies. Their project is titled, “The ‘Least Mapped Place in the World’: Urban Present and Projection in an Arctic Watershed, “ and was started and substantially completed in Professor Pierre Belanger’s fall 2012 Theories of Landscape as Urbanization, Landscape as Infrastructure course.

Domlesky and Pavlinic were presented with the award at the Annual Conference of the Center for Geographic Analysis, Harvard University on May 3, 2013.
