BSA exhibit features Ingeborg Rocker’s winning urban intervention

The work of associate professor Ingeborg Rocker, winner of this year’s Women in Design: Urban Interventions competition sponsored by the Boston Society of Architects, is being shown at BSA Space in Boston. The juried exhibition showcases built and unbuilt architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and urban design projects of some of Boston’s leading female designers.

Based on the premise that architecture is both a reflection of technical achievements and an echo of social priorities and values, the exhibition highlights alternate design approaches being pioneered by the current and upcoming generation of talent in the city. It’s no surprise that GSD faculty and alums are well represented in the show. Work by Maryann Thompson (professor in practice of architecture), Andrea Leers (adjunct professor of architecture and urban design), Jinhee Park (MArch ’02) and Hansy L. Better Barraza (MAUD ’00) is on display.

Exhibit opening: Friday, October 4 at 6p.m. at BSA Space, 290 Congress Street.
