Career Advising

GSD students can meet one-on-one with any of our career staff to develop and define an individual career strategy. We assist with building and revising career materials such as resumes, cover letters, and portfolios. We also can assist with networking,  job search strategy, interviewing skills, and much more. Current students may schedule an appointment through CREATE.

Career Workshops

Presentation topics include: The Art of Networking; Developing Your Portfolio; Job Search Strategies for International Students; Effective Interviewing and Salary Negotiation Skills. These workshops are delivered in groups at the GSD.

During the current COVID 19 conditions, we are working remotely. Two of our workshops are available for viewing:

Funding Sources for Summer Experiences

The Community Service Fellowship Program (CSFP) provides opportunities for GSD students to apply the skills they have developed in their academic programs through direct involvement with projects that address public needs and community concerns at the local, national or international levels.

The Paul M. Heffernan International Travel Award is intended to fund GSD students to travel internationally to extend the academic experience.
