Museum of Contemporary Art in Portugal

Site:Guincho – the region between earth and sea – consists of a rough topography of cliffs, heavy stones and persistent wild vegetation. It is the site of rumors and silences from waves and wind, a space of daily variations in light and temperature, and a natural place for discovering the limitations of possibilities.Program:The Museum of Contemporary Art is between construction and interpretation of the site. It is searching for a sequence of inner and outer spaces capable of lodging a collection of contemporary art, a precise program that would allow transformation, and a valuation of the existing landscape renewing its relation with human settlement.
