Daniel Feldman, “Freak’n Build It! : Making architecture happen where architects don’t happen”

When the pieces are in place and the numbers add up, projects get built. But what happens when the client can’t afford the project, investors aren’t interested, and the pieces have to be created? This lecture will look into the ways that architects can be involved in their projects beyond the design, making social construction in rural and peripheral settings a reality by changing the business model of architecture. Using his experience as architect in several projects and institutions as the Colombian Government, Architecture for Humanity and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Daniel Feldman will discuss the different aspects involved in the process of building socially relevant projects from varied perspectives.
