Gerdo Aquino + Ying-Yu Hung, “transpositional futures”

This event will be webcast live here and posted on the GSD YouTube channel.
Aquino and Hung will explore the tactical relationship between shifting land uses and their latent infrastructural and ecological systems within dense urban centers around the world. Topics related to hyper-programming, urban ecology, multi-functional transit corridors, lifestyle and performance will be presented from a historical, economic and geo-political context and investigated through competitions, commissioned work, recent essays and publications. The work argues for new directions in landscape architecture and planning in the context of rapidly changing societies struggling to maintain a sense of identity and place.
