Christian Kerez: Contrast and Continuity

This exhibition features a range of projects by Christian Kerez (Architect, Zürich). From residential housing to corporate headquarters to a museum, set in Swiss suburbs and in Warsaw, São Paulo, and Zhengzhou, these projects are conceptually different. But they are made of common architectural elements, though these are brought together in unexpected ways; and in each one the rigor of structural systems serves as a point of departure for the definition of architectural space. Workshop models, descriptive booklets and films—including animations and handheld movies—bring these projects to life. Christian Kerez is the 2012-2013 Kenzo Tange Visiting Chair in Architecture and Urban Design.
