Since its conception, and later in its incorporation as an official program of study at the school in 1960, Urban Design has generated an extensive body of academic and disciplinary work that has influenced urbanization in a variety of geographies and scenarios across the globe.  This exhibition presents a partial section of the Urban Design Program and its rich disciplinary and pedagogical contributions throughout the last 50 years at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.  The show, conceived as four discrete yet inter-related viewpoints, presents a chronological/geographic snapshot of the program's evolution while also highlighting key figures, events, and significant publications that have shaped the program's history and influenced the field of urbanism at large.
