The Harvard Graduate School of Design’s Faculty Affairs office works with the School’s academic leadership to build an outstanding faculty and to support the creation of an environment where GSD’s gifted designers, scholars, and teachers can do their best work.

Our Services

The Office of Faculty Affairs provides information and facilitation for appointments, promotions, professional development opportunities, leaves, retirement, visas, workload questions and other aspects of academic life. We manage faculty searches, recruiting, and the junior faculty mentorship program, and we also provide support for non-faculty academic appointments including postdocs and research associates. We are happy to schedule individual meetings as needed, or to connect via Teams on an unscheduled basis as available.
