Weijia Song

Weijia Song is an Architect and Real Estate Developer hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. She is a founding Principal of Collective Operations (CO-), a contemporary architectural design, urban design, and real estate development firm based in San Francisco, CA. CO- has a portfolio of work that includes residential, commercial office, and urban infrastructure design and construction in the United States and New Zealand. Prior to founding CO-, Weijia Song practiced as an Associate Architect and Designer at SHoP Architects in New York and Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura in Barcelona, after which she worked as a Senior Project Manager for Eden Housing, an affordable housing developer in California.

Weijia Song has over ten years of extensive project management, architectural design, construction, and finance structuring experience. She has contributed to over 20+ projects throughout her career and secured over $200M in public and private funding for affordable housing development. Her portfolio of work includes design and construction of multifamily affordable and luxury residential projects, commercial offices, and large-scale infrastructure development projects. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from MIT where she was a Samuel Tak Lee Graduate fellow and the recipient of the Thesis Excellence award for her work on “‘The Optimal Mix’ : deploying portfolio theory on real estate asset returns in mixed-use development”. She is a Registered Architect in California, New York, and New Zealand.
