Frequently encountered issues with my.Harvard
Reasons for not being able to add courses:
- The official add/drop period either hasn’t opened yet, or has closed (see Registration Procedures for pertinent dates)
- The course you are trying to add has a time conflict with another one you are already enrolled in. Either swap them, or, go to the Documents tab to download and fill out a Time Conflict Form if you want to enroll in both courses.
- The course you are trying to add would make you exceed 20 units. You need your program director’s approval to do that, so go to the Documents tab to download and fill out the Exceed Max Units Form.
- You have one or more holds. You will find your holds listed, if you have any, on your my.Harvard Home page.
Course shows in my.Harvard after submitting a waiver form
In addition to filling out the Course Waive/Substitution Form, students must also drop the course in my.Harvard. If it is after the Add/Drop Deadline, use the Late Add and/or Withdraw Form which is available in my.Harvard on the Documents tab. There will be no associated charge.
my.Harvard won’t allow to add or withdraw from courses after the add/drop deadline
Students must fill out a Late Add and/or Withdraw Form , which is available on the Documents tab in my.Harvard. If you are adding a course you need the instructor’s approval and signature. The completed form may be submitted at the Office of Student Affairs front desk or into the document drop box (next to the office door) in Gund Hall 422.
