Recipients of the Heffernan International Travel Fund will only receive the exact amount of funding requested in their application. You will not be able to request more once you are approved.
Notification of funding will arrive within four weeks of a completed application, and funds will be distributed within an additional 4-6 weeks after students have been notified of their award. With this time frame in mind, Career Services advises students to apply as soon as they have finalized their travel plans.
In some cases, depending on how early you apply, awards may be distributed ahead of your travel.
