Jack Dangermond

“GIS and Geodesign in Transition”
Jack Dangermond is a pioneer in the development of geographic information systems as tools for envisioning and engaging urban environments and landscape architecture. A graduate of the Harvard GSD (MLA ’69), in 1969 he founded the Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) to research and create mapping and data analysis technologies for environmental design. Esri is now recognized as the world leader in the development of GIS software integral to industries and urban design across the globe.
