Recruiting at the GSD

Career Services makes it easy for employers to feature your organization to students and alumni. Whether you have a hiring opportunity to promote; wish to host a presentation to current students; want to attend an on-campus recruiting event, or want to offer your expertise in a portfolio review, Career Services can help you.

Career Services offers several opportunities for employers to connect with GSD students and alumni. Recruitment events take place both in person and virtually based on the organization’s needs, time of year, and availability of space at the GSD.

Ready to meet our students? Please complete a recruitment session form at least 4-6 weeks in advance.

Host an information session

Speak to students directly about your organization, employment opportunities, and your application process.

Conduct interviews

Schedule a date to conduct interviews at the GSD. Career Services will advertise your opportunities, and students will send resumes and design samples directly to you. Prescreen resumes and select the candidates who most closely match your needs.

GSD Interview Week

Held annually in the spring, this week is set aside for employers who are actively hiring and wish to interview our talented students for summer internships and full-time roles.

GSD Job and Internship Fair

The GSD hosts an annual Job and Internship Fair in the spring. Attendance is open to employers by invitation only.

Additional ways to engage students

Employers interested in partnering with Career Services in other ways may consider volunteering to speak on a panel about your career path, offering portfolio reviews, or coffee chats. We welcome the opportunity to facilitate connections with you for GSD students and alumni.

Interested in capturing students’ attention in a non-digital format? Share physical materials with us for targeted distribution at the GSD. Posters and fliers can be mailed or emailed to Career Services. Recommended format and size: PDF,11×17.

Please contact Career Services with any recruitment ideas, plans, and/or questions.

To participate in any event or service, Career Services requires that employers review and agree to our Recruiting Policies.
